Wool

This dense, fuzzy material provides excellent insulation and natural water resistance. The crimped structure of wool fibers creates tiny air pockets, making it highly breathable and perfect for maintaining comfortable body temperature.

How to Wash and Care for Wool

  • Wool doesn't require washing after every wear due to its natural protective coating, which makes it resistant to dirt and odors. Instead, hang wool garments to air out between wears to keep them fresh.
  • When washing wool, use a gentle wool detergent and wash at 30°C or cooler.
  • Choose a low spin setting to help maintain the fabric's integrity. For heavier items, gently squeeze out excess water without wringing to avoid damaging the fibers.
  • Lay wool garments flat on a drying rack, with a towel underneath to catch drips. Avoid hanging them up to dry, as this can stretch the fabric and alter its shape.
  • Fold wool pieces and store them in drawers rather than hanging them, as hanging can cause them to lose their shape. Use mothballs or other moth repellents to protect against damage.
  • Pilling is a natural occurrence caused by friction. It can be easily removed with a pilling comb or fabric shaver to keep your wool garments looking fresh.
